Courtney Minor has a fascination with eyes – she stares at them, sketches them, paints and photographs them. The American artist believes that eyes tell a story. No matter the person's composure, the eyes reveal the truth. Minor's works embody that vulnerability, as well as the inner world of a person that most keep hidden. She begins with photographing her subjects, building up layers of varying materials, including paper, glass, yarn, and paint.
